Job Title: HVAC Engineer

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Engineer to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal functioning and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and calculate various HVAC systems, including air system static pressure, airflow, ductwork sizing, and chillers sizing.
Perform calculations for heating, cooling, and ventilation loads.
Prepare and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and initiate/respond to RFIs.
Develop and review cost estimates and specifications, including design criteria.
Specify, evaluate, and select mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Work with various software tools including Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Bentley Microstation, and Microsoft Office Suite for design and documentation.
Stay updated with and apply relevant industry codes such as NFPA, UL, ANSI/AMCA, ASHRAE, and ASME in designs and projects.
Qualifications:
BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) licensure preferred.
Certifications such as CHD, HBDP, CCS, CDT, LEED AP BD C, or LEED Green Associate are highly desirable.
Experience in industries like Nuclear Facilities, Commercial, Pharmaceutical/Biotech, and Oil & Gas/Chemicals.
Advanced proficiency in design and calculations related to HVAC systems.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
